TimeLines
| Here you will learn about editing a Creature's Timeline, Making fastagers, Creatures that can't
die from age and more.
|
|---|
| The Genes
|
|---|
| A Creatures TimeLine, and It's "Life Force" is controlled by
the genes in the picture below. Notice that there is a gene for controlling when a Creature ages to the next life stage.
Notice that there is also a gene controlling a Creature's Life Force at birth
|
|---|
| Making FastAgers
|
|---|
| We all know that fastagers age fast right? Well If they age fast
that means that there is not a big gap between the LifeForce values needed to age. For example, A Norn starts off being
born with a Life Force 0f 255. This steadily decreases at a constant rate. If it needs a Life Force of 240 to age to the
child stage, this will be faster to age than if it needed to be 200. Therefore, in order to make a FastAger we need to
shorten the Life Force gap in the genes.
|
|---|
For example, a Creature may need the following Life Force values to age
to each Life Stage.
| Child
| 229
|
|---|
| Adolscent
| 194
|
|---|
| Youth
| 165
|
|---|
| Adult
| 136
|
|---|
| Old
| 19
|
|---|
| Senile
| 10
|
|---|
| Die Of Old Age
| 5
|
|---|
| If we wanted the creature to age fast to adult, Stay as an adult for a long time, then age
fast to old & senile before dying, then we could change these Life Force values to the ones below. Bear in mind, the
creature is born with an initial Life Force of 255
|
|---|
| Child
| 240
|
|---|
| Adolscent
| 230
|
|---|
| Youth
| 220
|
|---|
| Adult
| 210
|
|---|
| Old
| 5
|
|---|
| Senile
| 3
|
|---|
| Die Of Old Age
| 1
|
|---|
| To change these values we need to click on a gene like the ones in the picture above.
After you have done that, look at one of the other windows for a section that looks like the picture below:
|
|---|
| Now then, Every time I talked about the Life Force value, This value was the one on the
"Threshold" bar (The Gene Editor's got the typo, not me!). Simply move this bar to what you want the value to be.
|
|---|
| The Secret Of Immortality
|
|---|
| Using the TimeLine genes you can also make your creatures
immortal in the sense that they don't die from time. Note that they CAN still die from other factors, such as starvation.
To do this, find that "Die Of Old Age" gene. In one of the other windows you'll see a bit that looks like the picture below.
You don't want the creature to die so you need to put a tick in the inactive box. It's as simple as that.
